Vincent Mousseau

PhD Student and Registered Social Worker

Social Work Services

I am a registered social worker in Quebec, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, offering a dedicated approach that combines abolitionist, anti-racist, Afropessimist, and decolonial frameworks. Grounded in my lived experiences and professional expertise, I work primarily with 2SLGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, and racialized individuals seeking support through community-based and clinically informed methods.
In my practice, I prioritize:
  • Community-centered healing by integrating social justice and anti-oppressive perspectives,
  • Identity-affirming care tailored to the unique challenges of Black LGBTQ+ individuals and those navigating intersecting identities,
  • Accessible mental health through online sessions, focusing on compassion, respect, and growth.
I also emphasize the importance of creating space for people to express and process the impact of systemic violence, supporting clients in transforming their grief and trauma into personal and community strength. Whether it’s building resilience, navigating complex life transitions, or affirming individual and cultural identity, my practice is here to provide support and grounding.
